We are two mature ladies with the
same mission.
Having both lost close family to
Cancer, having first hand experience
of the devastating effects it had on
the lives of ourselves and our families.
We have decided to step out of our
comfort zone and do something to
make a difference.

Our intention is to ride two quad bikes from Alhaurin El Grande, Spain to Timbuktu, Africa ON OUR OWN !!
Putting our patience, stamina and friendship to the test.
A gruelling and perhaps hazardous journey across deserts and minefields, never before attempted on quad bikes or by females, to raise money for Macmillan nurses as our priority charity but also for the hospice for cancer patients in Benalamadena Spain and for the medical centre in our home town of Alhaurin.
Prior to our departure we would have also raised funds for necessities to be given to all schools etc that will be visited on route.
We are doing this journey in loving memory of "LILLIAN SKINNER & JOAN PORRETT" much loved and missed Grandmother and mother
We know all our friends are kind and charitable people but if in any doubt, please bear in mind that not only will we be facing ridiculously high temperatures, extreme discomfort and flying camel poo!, we will be crossing minefields, sleeping in the desert under canvas without any available washing / toilet facilities, that for the dinner party stories alone, should persuade you to give generously, for what we are about to endure.
